Fuck” is one of my favorite words. It can mean a thousand different things depending on tone and intensity. It can represent excitement when paired with “yeah” or anger when paired with “you” and bits of sarcasm can be sensed if used with a smile. I love that one word can represent a range of emotion. This collection is an ode to “fuck” and also honors poems and moments that are not the best use of my words but are valid emotions to be expressed in a suitable form. I’ve been known to punish with silence. Often, I am silent to decide and regulate how I feel so as not to rage with emotion and damage relationships because of my mouth. So I write. Some of the following is part of the process of getting myself in a place to remember what I am most committed to. Additionally, there are text messages, chat conversations and back stories that further my love of the wide range of “fuck” moments. The material in this chapbook is not dedicated to anyone in particular but if the shoe fits…Fuck IT!
